TAMPA YANKEES -
The Tampa Yankees were founded in 1994 and call Legends Field their home April through September. The Tampa Yankees won the Florida State League Championship in 1994, 2001, 2004 and were runners-up in 1998. Tampa Yankees' fans are in a unique position because the New York Yankees Player Development Center is based in Tampa. This allows fans to be close to the action when scouts, coaches and players for the organization report to the Tampa office. Tampa Yankees' fans have a chance to see some of the best and brightest stars in the Yankees organization. Also, fans are often treated to a surprise when New York Yankee stars start for the Tampa Yankees during their rehabilitation.
The 2007 season has come to an end leaving the team 2 games shy of a playoff spot. Looking back over an exciting season, the Tampa Yankees would like to thank its fans and sponsors for their support and asks for your continued support as they look ahead to an even better season for 2008.
